The successful ingredients are: a big bunch of athletes celebrating their amazing achievements, the reunion of the Spice Girls and the designer dresses bringing the well-known characters of the iconic band alive.
The arrival of the mysterious black cabs caused a little excitement to the audience, but the secret has been revealed right after the adult versions of the Spices jumped out of the taxis and started to sing the song which was peaking into the top five on the majority of charts including our hearts in 1997.
Watching the ever-increasing number of hits my article on “Mel B in Dancing with the Stars” gets sharing details about the designers and dresses she was wearing on the show, I could not miss the opportunity to turn my focus to her (and her mates’) appearance at the Olympics.
Mel B wearing a Zuhair Murad catsuit
Zuhair Murad is a Lebanese fashion designer having dressed celebrities like Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Beyonce Knowles, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Katy Perry, Christina Applegate, Miley Cyrus and many more. He has got boutiques in Beirut, Paris and Milan. Watch one of his runway shows, it will take you to heaven.. I’m not surprised his gowns are highly thought after choices for red carpet events as they are dramatically breathtaking.
Victoria Beckham dressed in mullet hem by Giles Deacon
Giles Deacon is a 43 years old British fashion designer, who worked for Bottega Veneta and Gucci before founding his own label in 2003 and named as “Best New Designer” at the British Fashion Awards. His collections’ presentation style applying some futuristic themes has a stimulating effect on the critics as they love to talk about his “quirky, irreverent approach to glamour”. It turns out Victoria wearing this gown wasn’t top-secret at all as she couldn’t stand and posted a picture of her fitting with Giles to Twitter well before the performance!
Now, I am a bit cheeky here.. what is this guy looking at on the above picture??:)
Mel C, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell were also true to their Spice Girls images as “sporty”, “baby” and “ginger” spices.
With their appearances at the spectacular closing ceremony with 22.9 viewers from all over the world, they have promoted the sports fashion retailer JD Sports, costumier Maggie Cooke and UK couture designer Suzanne Neville.
If it was a dressing competition, for my part Mel B won. What do you think?
