After having a closer look at the national fashion events, it’s time to step outside the Australian borders and have a look at the outfits being scuffed on the red carpet of the film awards show presented annually on MTV.
The event was held last weekend in California with Hollywood’s biggest stars showing off with their enviable shapes when taking over the winning awards voted for them by the general public.
The results: Twilight and Hunger Games took home their fair share of awards and the peplum dress conquered.
Watching these pictures I felt an urging need to hand out some “Katinka Fashion Awards” again in the following categories.
“The most unusual dress”: Christina Ricci in an outfit covered in crystals, beads, buttons and fully working Timex watches, created by Christian Siriano.
“The classiest dress award”: Charlize Theron in a Lanvin dress
Woman in black, “The sexiest jumpsuit award”: Elizabeth Banks in an Elie Saab.
“Metallic sisters fashion award”: goes to Paris Hilton and her sister Nicky in sparkling dresses by Marco Squared.
“The palest celeb” award goes to Kate Beckinsale in Christian Dior. It’s a nice low-key dress, however I would have welcomed a more intense dose of colour.
